Linux: System Requirements

Note: we recommend using the Stelo Replicator Linux Container, which simplifies installation and updates; it eliminates the need to install SQDR, Db2 LUW, and other software. It can be used on any Linux system capable of running Docker. The Docker host does not have to be using the same Linux distribution or version as that in the container. The container has been tested on such diverse environments as Ubuntu Linux, CentOS 7, Amazon Linux 2, and Oracle Linux 9.  See Quick Start Guide to Using the Stelo Replicator Linux Container for details.

You will also need Windows system with the SQDR Data Replicator Manager package (v6.x) for managing the SQDR/Linux system.  This system needs network access to the control database to be used by SQDR. It also needs network access (gRPC ports 7737 & 7738) to the Linux system.   You can also use a Windows system with the full SQDR product installed, but be aware that using SQDR Configuration will temporarily disrupt the local SQDR service.
