Replication with Data Truncation

The following destination column types truncate replicated data if the source data is too large to fit in the destination column:

If the Replicator Manager shows the subscription status with a Warning icon in the right pane of the main window, you can select the event and choose View Replication Event to see more information. If that information includes the message "Warning: Data replicated with truncation," some of the data may not have been replicated. The Replication Statistics dialog provides more detailed information about which data was truncated so you can inspect the destination table. For some combinations of data, source column settings, and destination column settings, the data lost by truncation may consist solely of blank spaces. For other combinations, you may need to modify and re-run your subscription to ensure that all important data is replicated.
